Join “Cooley Night Hikes” for a night walk in the Cooley Mountains in search of beautiful views under the stars on March 10th. Walks begin at a pre-arranged meeting point at Mullaghbuoy Parish Church, Glenmore which is part of the beautiful Cooley Peninsula in County Louth. The hike is quite gentle and waymarked so it is suitable for all abilities. The hike up to Barnavave Peak takes approximately 50 minutes. The walk then rises another 150 metres to reach the summit, just beside Maebh’s Gap where there will be a light supper made by the chefs of the beautiful Ghan House in Carlingford, using seasonal ingredients. There is a natural seating area at the top where you can sit and enjoy the views.

A few reminders to get yourself set for your night adventure, Arrive early (10 minutes before team brief) to get yourself adapted to your new surroundings, Take water to keep hydrated wrap up well with gloves and hat especially and enjoy this beautiful hike as much as you can and come explore with us.
