John Walsh is an amateur astronomer from Ballinamuck in County Longford, He studied Physics at the University of Limerick but has had a lifelong interest in astronomy. Only three months ago John decided to take the next step and try Astrophotography.. his results are stunning as this hobby requires technical expertise along with creative composition and often requires specialized equipment to capture the faint light of distant objects. His talk at Naas Library will cover everything from tripods and DSLR cameras to telescopes and mounts, to stacking, calibration frames, guiding, processing etc.
