Midlands Astronomy Club Talk and Observing Evening
Join Midlands Astronomy Club at the Millhouse, Belmont, County Offaly for Irish Astronomy Week on the 7th of March at 7.30pm. Are you thinking of stargazing with a telescope, learning astrophotography, or diving into books about the Universe?
Experienced members from the club will be there to give a fascinating talk about astronomy and observing the night sky, they will also be happy to give advice on all aspects of our inspirational hobby from astronomy apps, to telescopes and binoculars, all levels of knowledge is welcome. Join on the night or get more involved – they are always looking for and welcoming new talent to share the hobby with.
Weather permitting you will get an oppertunity to view the wonderful midlands night sky through their telescopes and powerful binoculars. If you have your own telescope or binoculars bring them along with you on the night.
Booking is essential as spaces are limited.
This is a ticket only event and all members of group must hold a ticket.

Tullamore Astronomical Society was founded by a group of friends in 1986 and changed to Midlands Astronomy Club in 2010. Some founding members are still in the club today! COSMOS 2025, their annual Star Party takes place on Saturday April 5th 2025 in the beautiful rural location of Teach Lea on the edge of Lough Boora Discovery Park, County Offaly.
