Mallow Library welcomes Derek O’Keeffe of Cork Astronomy Club. Derek will be giving a fascinating talk introducing pupils to the world of astronomy and the wonders in the night time sky.
Derek is the owner of Ballyhoura Observatory, which is an astronomical observatory located in north county Cork. It was originally constructed in 1990. It was upgraded for fully remote and robotic operation in 2016. See https://ballyhouraobservatory.github.io/about
